The way I see it, the current EXP Share's for newcomers to the series who want to experience the main game but don't want/don't have the time for manually grinding their team up.
I'd love it if they brought back the difficulty modes from BW2 and had them available from the start this time, but the EXP Share approach's not too bad. Would be nice if it wasn't automatically on when you first get it, but ultimately you still get to choose if you want to leave it on the whole time, leave it off the whole time, or just turn it on occasionally to speed up the grind if you hit a brick wall.
