>>48791322Fire everyone in gamefreak headquarters and hire someone with actual talent. Focus all resources to designing the overworld and pokemon interactions. We're talking riding, following, petting, playing fetch, puzzle solving. Wild pokemon will be doing stuff pokemon snap style instead of awkwardly wandering around in foot high grass. Really try and aim for that Digimon World 1 style atmosphere. I want people to spend hours just wandering around discovering shit. HMs return as innate abilities to encourage pokemon variety, though flight will be locked to late game through an item. There will be ZERO open grassy fields. Region will be a colder climate, with more rocky and snowy terrain. Dive returns with a ton of interesting underwater areas like reefs and deep caverns. Not every pokemon will be included due to this immense graphical undertaking and as my excuse to not add retarded jobmons that kill the atmosphere. The pokemon that do make it in will have a ton of care put into their animations and placement. The story will be minor, and will not revolve around a legendary pokemon and evil team. Gyms and E4 are in but can be tackled in whatever order you find them in, and adjust their team based on number of badges. As for the battle mechanics.
Exp share is a hold item again. Affection is scrapped. IVs are scrapped. Power items are avaliable early and reroute all EVs to the relevant stat. Abilities and stats are rebalanced. Movepool is trimmed down so it isn't bloated with shit. There is no daycare, if you want a pokemon you gotta go find it. KOing a pokemon gives you 1 chance to throw a ball with increase odds. Dynamax and megas are gone. The regis come back with even more obscure puzzles. Wailord is properly sized. There is only one version, and the box legendary is avaliable postgame, at the deepest dive area in the game, and is somewhat lovecraft inspired.
