From XY onward, I think raging about 'filler' is stupid. XY had many entertaining fillers, and really started to raise the bar. On the flipside, sometimes 'main plot' episodes are boring or straight up mishandled. Most of Ash vs Bea III was disgraceful, Go's first trial mission in Unova was a snoozefest, any episode about Koharu's goal of.. I'm not sure what exactly usually ends up being not worth the watch whatsoever. Also, I'm not sure why people didn't consider the last two episodes filler. Is it because Dawn appeared? The main characters, Ash and Go, didn't make a lick of progress towards their goals, the storyline is exactly as it was before they met up with Dawn.
Bring on the wacky misadventures and side characters if this is how the 'non filler' is going to be. At least it might be funny or have some capture kino.
