Zarel makes people mods if they either do his work for him (coding the damn site) or if they pay him money. Even though it is the mods at fault in nearly all our encounters, Zarel won't replace the mods because they pay him. Meanwhile, he's perfectly happy with you losing your ability to talk in battles or whatever, because it makes his little paypiggies happy, and that's all that matters to him.
