My family went on vacation around that time. I stopped caring about pokemon after B2W2, so I didn't bother getting XY at launch. My brother brought his friend along with us and all they did the entire trip was play X and Y. I didn't do my first playthrough until the following winter and was primarily indifferent to it. I didn't really get back into the franchise again until ORAS got announced since I primarily grew up during gen 3, if only I knew how bad things would get from here on out. I should've never come back to this godawful franchise, why am I still here
