I'm not asking out of mockery or to be ironic, I genuinely cannot begin to comprehend why one person goes to such lengths to defend a company for free. It's not even like being a janny where, as much as we make fun of them, someone has to do their job so this site isn't filled with CP and other garbage. Literally no one NEEDS to use Serebii, the site could stop existing and the world would go on to be perfectly fine as it is with the other 10+ Pokémon documentation websites. What compels a man to defend a company that has obviously lowered their standards? What compels a man to try and justify every single fault rather than just accepting it for what it is? What compels a man to abandon his girlfriend's birthday to write more articles about fictional monsters? What compels a man to get BTFO so hard by some random on Twitter with a Gastrodon picture? What compels a man to seethe any time someone so much as makes fun of the game even slightly? It's gotten to the point where anytime I see a Joe thread on this website I can't even laugh, I instead cringe and begin to feel pity at seeing such a pathetic person who has dedicated their life and career to a franchise that was intended for children.
