Based on what we have written so far, I think she will be mostly affected by it right after it happens, but as she gets close to home her mind begins to wander away from the depression of no longer being the Champ to the freedom she gained from the loss of that obligation. I don't think it's something that troubles her too much day to day, but it probably would bother her when it gets brought up. She will take full advantage of her newly acquired freedom, which is probably a decent explanation as to why she will be traveling around so much, especially in the first act.
This is mostly gleaned from Chandelure and my scripts so far, rather than any actual discussion about it, so I don't know for sure how solid it truly is at the moment or how much is subject to change.
She will have her own personality for sure, though.
