>>34238794The design seems unfinished to me. They could’ve been creative with the ear hair but decided to not bother with it. Retaining the same stick makes zero sense too. If it’s full fledged mage, why does it lack a wooden staff? Why does it hide it’s wand when you can clearly see Braixen’s wand? They also did nothing to compensate for lack of the broomstick tail idea Braixen had. Maybe it’s “compensation” is the shiny new typing. But it’s still pretty lacking on a design standpoint. Chesnaught gains a shield while not being a bigger Quiladin. Greninja gains shurikens while not being a bigger Frogadier. Delphox is doesn’t change as much and weapon is still the same. If not for the new typing, it might’ve been on pair with the Johto starters in terms of generic progression.
I’ll have to say though, it’s looks allot better when it hunched over like a sneaky badass fox and not standing straight like a wacky traffic cone. If it’s standard pose was similar to pic related or the official artwork it would’ve gave a better first impression.
