But there are genuine callbacks like what was said when the XY gang huddle up, Pikachu's electric communication with Dedenne which is referenced several times, and of course, Ash and Serena referencing the other's catchphrases. especially the latter whom uses it several times to reassure herself and to reassure others about Ash.
