>>55805598I have no horse in this race but as a game dev myself, it seems retarded to change synergies just because it makes a single player game easier when you've already fully built your team. That should be the goal for all players, to find a synergy to build their team around, and punishing players for utilizing synergies makes no sense.
This game has no challenge regardless once you pass floor 200, and until you add alternate game modes or tweak the mechanics to create a challenge there's no sense trying to "balance" things because you have no idea what a balanced gamestate is gonna look like a month from now when things are more fleshed out. Making tweaks like that is supposed to be left for the last phase of game balance when you've collected meaningful data from player usage rates etc. Right now things like more game modes, revamping the shop, adding more mechanics, and other shit to make the game less monotonous should be the priority.
