As the world's biggest Theme shitter I now possess my verdict on the Unified Minds theme decks after a few days.
>Necrozma is consistent but has trouble with specific numbers
>Best T2-1 in the format due to Gumshoos
>Can occasionally struggle to get Malamar out due to dodgy search base
>No flexibility or Pokemon recursion - anything that dies stays dead
>Necrozma is 99% as bullshit as Entei as a Pokemon
>Silvally is worse than Gumshoos efficiency wise unless you need the extra HP
>You still want to go first even with Mesprit and co. due to Necrozma and Gumshoos.
>Dragonite has two great big basics in Thundurus and Dr Piccolo - go for those as you can
>Dragonite as a Pokemon is a logistics nightmare for most decks but attacking with it is INCREDIBLY inefficient unless you end the game doing so
>Lanturn is good but best saved for when you need exactly 140
>Pidgeot is a dead card and actually finding Dragonite can be hard
>Don't do what pic related did.
Are they better than Blazing Volcano? Not strictly. In a straight muscle fight they both have the upper hand but with no Guzma, Kukuis or Rescue Stretchers and weaker search in general, Blazing Volcano can 'outsmart' them quite often - you don't want to durdle behind Alolan Grimer unless you get a bad start, but a bad start for Unified Minds is heavier than a bad start for Blazing Volcano.
I'd say, both played at an equal skill level and with equal 'fairness' in RNG, the odds are 55-45 to Necrozma and 60-40 to Dragonite.
Another note is both decks have only one Switch each and therefore only one 'cleanse' against Storm Caller. Anyway, reddit spacing DONE, theme shitter post MADE, wall of text NOT READ. Have a shit day everyone, because you're playing the Pokemon TCG. It's not good.
