Hitler approached with EMDEN, which I immediately realized was a shithead idea since it doesn't have too good a Defense stat, so I risked a switch to STATKRAFT, which was successful, who then treated it to a dose of the Seizure Procedure aka Gen I Thunderbolt. Gyarados dealt with, BRETSPURBN validated my teaching it Toxic as the best thing I ever did for it. The train carries the Third Reich into the end.
Chukter lead with CHUKLEROOT, to set up Reflect and tank literally Lance's only coverage, Gyarados's Hydro Pump. Wasn't necessary apparently, since it just leered thrice. I swapped into VOMER from then on, since he had the strongest Defense, meaning he had the best chance of tanking a crit Hyper Beam, a precaution that came in handy, as pictured, until the fliers came in, in which I refreshed the Reflect, then in finally came NOKI, Surf-Icing into finals.
SKYNET tanked Gyarados' Hyper Beam admirably, and pulled out the Seizure Procedure Remix. Then BIG NIGGA did as BIG NIGGA does, and ate their literally 0 coverage sets up for dinner. Even +4 Defense Dragonite could not handle his girth.
Yellow Lance is far more threatening, since his team is closer to his Gen II team, i.e. his dragons have actual type coverage. Opened with JAN in an attempt to confuse Gyarados. Worked for shit; he broke out almost immediately and was firing beams left and right. I'm completely surprised both JAN and OLIVER tanked them with the level difference. I was ready for those deaths. Swapped into GREG to deal with the electric Dragonair. I misjudged his strength, almost losing him too. Maybe its just an irrational fear of Hyper Beams, Dragons, and/or Lance, but OLIVER won some major bro points for tanking as many Beams as he did and clutching the kill on Dragonite. However, Gen I showed its fury, with Dragonite pulling two crit Beams in a row, blasting out MARCIA and PETER.
It's time to end this segment!
