>>14291274No way. Just no fucking way. Gen 5 had the great feeling of Gen 1 in that the Pokemon go from little monsters to bigger, stronger monsters. The Pokemon all had a set design choice and that they tried to stick to. There was even a good amount of creativity such as with Volcarona and Reuniclus.
But this gen? It's all gone. All of the first stages are either cute or atrocious, and all of the middle stages are acceptable. But the final stages? It's like they completely forgot what the original Pokemon was, and just said "fuck it" and threw one ugly abomination onto the other. There are maybe 3 Pokemon that evolve and aren't completely ruined. Take a look at this thing. There was one thing that I didn't like about it originally; that it didn't look like a dog and instead like a cotton candy stick with a face and paws. If they had at least given it a body when it evolved, then I would have been set. But no, fucking no, it's evolves into this. It not only lost the little amount of creative merit it had initially, but it's still the same old thing. Hell, it looks even uglier now because of that stupid cupcake hat thing. You know what this looks like? It looks like a fat bear cub illustrated by the guys who made Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
