You can't SR to change the Pokemon, only a few Honey Trees around Sinnoh allow it to spawn, it takes at least 6 hours to spawn, and changing the DS clock does fucking nothing.
It is a 1% chance you get Munchlax from a honey tree, after all that other shit.
I tried for 1 and a half weeks to get one legitimately, before I finally decided it would be a better use of my time to play through fucking HG until I could get the Snorlax in Kanto, and breed the fucker.
It's not difficult, it's not engaging, it is nothing but a tedious waste of fucking time. There are so many other ways they could have made Munchlax rare, make it a gift Pokemon, a trade Pokemon, a 1% encounter in a secret area. But no, they decided it would be best to make it a 2% chance to get in a basic 12 hour day.
Fuck honey trees.
