I've always liked the idea of a University (campus) that function as the E4 or similar.
We've had Professors since Gen 1 but it's never really been fleshed out.
A university would allow for hyper-specialised teams that makes sense beyond typing. I'm suprised it's not been incorporated into the series, but I guess it's too complicated for the braindead literal children audience GF appear to cater for.
An example would be an amphibian water/ground Professor / expert, using a team full of frogs. Battle could be in the lab themed around a swap or you'd have to seek them out 'in the field' and battle them there.
