>>43835983Fairy + Ghost + Psychic + Fighting = Aether (or Astral, can't decide atm)
Basically the otherworldy type, the type whose mechanics are more incorporeal and can't really be explained, but that you still want to be included since it can justify a lot of cool and strange designs. Fairy and Ghost are less explained than other types, former is as close to the Magic type we'll ever get, and Ghost attacks also falls into mysticism, and them being actual dead spirits is debunked once you learn about breeding. Psychic as a type is something easier to accept since we're used to the concept of mindpowers and mental energy, but since I had a hard time drawing a line where the Psychic realm ends and the Aether/Otherwordly begins, as well as how many consider psychics to be supernatural, merging Psychic with the rest seemed possible.
Fighting may seem like a stupid addition to this group, but it basically follows the thoughts from the Normal/Bug/Dragon merger: what, exactly, makes a move fighting type? Attacking weak spots? That can be atttributed to specific attacks, not neccessarily a whole type (and even then the Beast could cover that anyway, justified by heightened senses). And if it's inner focus or chi, then that's basically within the same realm as psychic and otherworldly bullshit, so in the end, into the Aether it goes.
