Holy crap, what the hell? I love reading these posts like "if evasion wasn't banned, people would just run teams with 2-4 evasion abusers and two evasion counters". The fact that Smogon has banned evasion had made people believe that it's some kind of a doomsday strategy that destroys all other teams. You guys have to understand this: evasion is not an effective strategy. It's unreliable, limits your Pokemon's coverage and in many cases backfires against you. If evasion wasn't banned, not a single experienced player would run more than one evasion abuser in their team, simply because it wouldn't be effective. You smogondrones really have to get out of your little bubble, go have a couple of Wifi battles against Nips who run evasion and Moody and you'll see very quickly that they're painfully easy to counter and horrible strategies in general. Skill will always beat luck in the long term, we all know this. If you'd lose one or two battles against evasion spammers on Showdown, you'd still have a higher ranking than them since you rely on skill and win more often than those who rely on luck. I don't understand why this is an issue. Moody and evasion should not be banned.
