I recently bought a Louis XVI commode for 12k. I'm a small fry though, some guys on Christie's are paying 15 million for a good commode.

TL;DR: The big bois collect paintings, sculptures and furniture. Not mass produced toys. Toy collecting is like level one, because it reflects that you grew up in a poor, unrefined environment.
