Even though I don't have a current team for any continuous playthrough, I always name my shinies. They usually have a combined name of their concepts, whatever it's the shiny's concept or the mon in itself. I sometimes make exceptions naming them characters, memes or regular names with some word play. Here's an image with these for examples:
- Garnelaze: Garnet Blaze.
- Exorum: Golden X, also can be refered as a golden exoskeleton (although only has the X and claws as that but whatever).
- Drazuli: Lapislazuli Dragon
- Lè Monke: Self explanatory meme. Although I named it before the meme (usually said this when playing with friends after picking purple DK in Smash, so since I found this suddenly in Moon I thought it was too perfect).
- Tailor: Taylor name with an "i" instead of "y". Reference to the tail, which was referenced to the meme it has in Ultimate about being constantly hitted on it.
- Sonic: ...yeah self explanatory. The colors are identical and it's a fast Pokémon, it's like puzzle pieces for the name.
