Of the Alola Friends, Lillie is the one who doesn't have any real moments together with Ash that aren't plot related. No episode where she goes off to do fun things with him. Lillie just hovers around to spew her one liner "I read X in a book once" and to advance the plot, she's worse then Serena in that regard because Serena actually DID new things. She did baking contests, she did tripokalons, she did PokeVision, at episode 69 of XY Serena went through her first step of major development by cutting her hair and it had impact on the viewers. Lillie had 10 episodes, back to back dedicated to her and it did nothing for her character and made the viewers feel nothing since it was contrived drama for the sake of a plot that shouldn't have even taken place.
