Once this episode of AG aired where Drew/Harley said they were going to Johto, and the title was, "May and Drew! Rivals Forever!" I knew she was not going to travel with Ash anymore. I was a huge Advanceshipper at the time too so it was rough.
In retrospect it was for the best, but at the time in 2006 when we had no idea we'd have a new girl every series, it was disappointing.
