sinnoh, kalos, and hoenn are adjacent to my childhood so i will always consider them comfy
but not only did gen 5 come out at the peak of my childhood, unova is literally based around the area i live - NYC. also really enjoyed that bw made the region feel alive. the stories of bw2 added to the depth of the region and we got to see the places weve come to know in bw grow and change in bw2. no other game except gsc with kanto gives you this depth.
anyway enough rambling, super subjective but unova does it for me
