>>57272793In case there's anyone who's actually curious, this guy is waffling. The Safari Zone in Fuchsia City, like many Gen 1 areas that were cut/downsized in Gen 2, was removed to save memory space which the Gen 2 games were notorious for. It's why Viridian Forest and the Unknown Dungeon were both downsized/cut and why many of these areas were added back in in HGSS which obviously didn't have the GB carts' filesize limitations. There IS a map in the game but it's inaccessible without cheats.
Filesize is also why we went from Pokemon 2's initial concept of the game's region being the entirety of Japan to just GSC's Johto and Kanto regions.
