So I came back from a tour in Afghanistan last December before Christmas and my grandma's been in the hospital for about 6 months. She was pretty old but she always kept up with stuff and was pretty lucid. This was my third and final tour, after having a full 21 months under my belt so I was happy to be back home and being able to see my grandma before Christmas. She pretty much raised me and my brother and was always going out of her way to buy me the latest Pokemon games. So anyways, she was getting worse and worse, doctors just said that it was nearing her time and she seemed pretty okay with it. She died a week after I came back, just about 6 days before Christmas, we should have had an early Christmas but what's done is done. I wasn't there when she passed away but I went to see her as much as possible and the last time I saw her she told me she had a surprise for me.
