I was also under the impression that Water was super effective on Grass (IIRC, for some reason), Skymory had a red shiny, subconsciously thought Probopass was a gen 7 Pokemon, and legit thought that Aurorus was weak to the entire type chart due to leddit memes. Speaking of fossil Pokemon I wanted to use one on said playthrough but I didn't know where to get any of the fossils so given how the guy talked about having a fossil Pokemon exhibit, I assumed that fossil Pokemon were a post-game thing.
