We'll definitely get at the least an event Greninja on it, and I'd be surprised if synchro/bond phenomenon/whatever doesn't make an appearance in Sun/Moon in some shape or form either.
The only thing that really seems a little shaky is that they made the new big gimmick in synchro lose to last seasons new gimmick, Megazard.
