I don't love it because I think it's the best Pokemon. Newsflash: it's nowhere close. Been NU and below since the introduction of Stealth Rock in Gen 4, and it absolutely needed its Megas to have some sort of meta relevance in Gens 6 and 7. My love for Charizard is just one of those un-explainable kind of loves for me. It probably stems from the anime when I was a kid as well as the challenge it brought when using it in RBY. In fact, it's really fun to use in RBY. Slash and Dig (100 base power like EQ in the first games) are amazing on it, and it outruns just about everything in the game.
But holy fuck do I hate most Charizard fans, and mostly the same as most of you all do. It's because of these assholes that GameFreak started dick-riding not just Charizard, but just about the rest of KANTOOOOOOOOOO. I was pissed when Zard got two megas in XY when Venusaur and Blastoise got shafted, and I'm still mad that it got a G-Max form when it most certainly didn't need that shit.
