This one gave me some feels. Can't believe I've been loving this franchise since '98. I can still remember when I saw my first episode as a kid; the one where Ash first meets Charmander, and I was glued to the screen. I couldn't stop telling my mom all about it, and before long I was holding a copy of Yellow at Toys R Us.

Seeing all the different trainers from across the years in that picture really takes me back through them. From rushing home from school with my Typhlosion backpack to see the latest episode, to coming home from work and reading the latest Sun and Moon news, its a part of my life I'm glad I never let go of. What a fuckin' ride.

I never thought we'd be here again, /vp/. For the first time since most of us were children, Pokemon is taking the world by storm. I hear all sorts of stories about people making friends and meeting strangers because of this app; Pokemon is uniting communities together in a way it hasn't done since its original debut. It brings me back to days of trading cards and swapping stories on the school bus. Hell, I think with this game the series can take the premise of people bonding and connecting even further than it ever has. Regardless of your stance on Go itself as an app, this is an incredible time to be a Pokemon fan. It's rapidly becoming a total renaissance for the franchise, and I'm so happy to be witnessing it with all of you.
