A lot of people exclusively play Pokémon and don't have much to compare it to. Pokémon characters are usually very one-dimensional and boring, but fans are the ones that flesh them out. Bea is basically a non-character in Sword and Shield. She has a little bit of text around her, but fans obsess over characters and try to pull out as much detail as their minds will let them.
