I hope that this is where the series heads in the future, yeah. I have had more fun fucking around and exploring this over world than doing ANY of the story content. I hope that they take this lump of clay and refine it in further games.
It is PAINFULLY obvious that this game just ran out of time. All of the non-important NPCs use the same animations, male or female, which leads to everyone looking like a tranny. The glitching of the camera and the world at large is just PAINFULLY obvious. Level scaling needs to exist. It needs to. It's insane it doesn't exist to begin with. And, on top of that, the
game.is glitchy as hell. It's just not finished.
All that bad stuff said, they finally did SOMETHING different. They finally made a game where moving around the map isn't just a means to get to the next story point. I have always wanted the exploratory part of Pokemon to take priority, and goddamnit, warts and all, here it is and I like it.
