>>51865792I think DokeV will be somewhat popular, but the problem is that the designs of the first two gens are just too good for people to let go of. and not just of the Pokemon, but of the Pokeballs and every other recognizable element from the anime. because it wasn't just the games, it was a huge sprawling multimedia craze, with a popular anime, movies, TCG (the most popular TCG in the world to this day), and now it has one of the most popular mobile games of all time as well. lightning doesn't really strike twice in that sense. you would need another crack team of designers and then a hugely concerted multimedia campaign funded by a major company.
