Its a field of study, everything in it including our laws could be wrong and it'd make zero difference to the universe because our Laws do not dictate reality, they help us UNDERSTAND reality.

Because Laws are merely descriptions of observations, even if you changed what we are observing it would be strange sure but the universe wouldn't implode it'd just mean we've observed something new in the universe that throws our laws into question. The universe goes on truckin like nothing happened. Plop magical creatures into our universe yes there'd be a lot of chaos but its not going collapse into a singularity
