If you really, REALLY like Pokemon, and you can clearly see that there's something wrong with the formula, then DO NOT. BUY. THE FUCKING. GAME. It tells gamefreak that they're doing something wrong. It tells them that consumers don't like their product. Complaining on forums and anonymous image boards isn't enough. A company isn't a baby you can coddle and let off with a warning. You have to remember that you're a consumer, and you come first. Stop eating up everything a company gives you, and look at things with a critical eye for once.
