Battle Bonanza
Choose 4 pokemon to fight with, navigate through RNG-created puzzles/mazes to get to the next floor of the tower. Lose or fail a puzzle, and you have to fight trainers with something special about each one with special conditions. Inverse Battles, Mega Evolution Nullification field, permanent weather generated by a device the trainer carries, etc.
Items usable (in-battle too), but only ones that you buy temporarily from the in-facility shop with in-facility credits. Nurse NPCs will fully heal one of your pokemon, but restore your whole party's PP.
In-facility credits can be used to buy "stims" which enhance your Pokemon's stats while inside the facility during one full session, making it more like a classic RPG. Trainers get tougher as the floor count rises.
Boss trainers at the end of each set of 5 floors. Game over when you reach 30 floors. If you reach a 120-floor streak, you get a special Ralts egg that's implied to be a descendant of the Gardevoir from Mystery Dungeon: RRT. It hatches with special moves it can't learn otherwise, blue eyes, and a new ability, "Good Dreams," where sleep heals 1/3 HP each turn and the user wakes up after 1 turn.
Yes that's because they should remake RRT as well as Hoenn
