In the past i recall having a hidden ability male was a death sentence without a ditto, and when it comes to regional forms, you get normal mons.
So felt bummed getting male HA metal meowth, but you can ditto breed it for hidden ability base meowth. And breed it with a female metal meowth and get a chance to get ha metal meowth.
