>>56842731hmmm that’s about what I imagined it would be like. The thing I’m worried about is what the playerbases are like at different shops. Since the demographic Pokemon is targeting is younger, is it harder to find players that are 20s/30s? Seemed like it at the store I went to. If it’s like at least 50% older players then that would be good. Also, I’m guessing that it being a comfortable place to play is the most important part. So, even if this shop doesn’t host scheduled Pokemon stuff on weekends, it might be worth going just for open play. I might be able to convince one person I know to go, so maybe that’d be enough. Are pre-releases just days expansions are coming out so they host open play sessions or something? Maybe I’d have better luck at other stores that have scheduled events. Either way I’ll probably just start out with the Live PC game to learn and figure it out from there
