I eventually did evolve him when we got a link cable, but it was a stressful experience cause my older brother kept threatening to yank the cable mid trade. The move set he had was Strength, Dynamicpunch, Cross Chop and Fire Blast. Man I have so much nostalgia with Ruby and Fire-red it’s insane. Ruby especially, I couldn’t read english well so every new city or route felt like an adventure. And exploration was rewarded too, like Sky Pillar. “Hmm how come I didn’t see that path befo- HOLY SHIT”
