It looks impossible to me that Nyantic could understand if the device we're playing from uses a fake gps as system gps through lucky pathcer, given we travel the same path we travel daily. (analysing the program directories that are used by a mobile device through data seems a bit like a privacy violation to me, nothing a big company like Nyantic would even consider imo)
