Pokemon games are never in the top 10 this far off from release, they were saying the same shit about S&M which ended up selling 16 million copies despite being nowhere to be seen in pre-orders at this point.
Sword and Shield is actually in the top 10 for pre-orders all around the world except for America and Japan (who never preorder anyway).
The fact is, these games are doing absurdly well in preorders for this point in time, you'll see another massive jump when -
A) The games are within 2 months of releasing
B) We see which Pokemon are exclusive for which version
Also don't forget, sales are split up into 3 games making them appear to be selling sell. 1/3 of people are buying Sword, 1/3 of people are buying Shield and the remaining 1/3 are buying the double pack.
All in all these are going to easily hit the 15 million threshold, quite possibly hitting 20 million sales within the first 5 months of being out.
