Physical stats on a special type is already a red flag, it becomes mostly just good for HMs by the time you get to Olivine, but at least it can rough up Jasmine's Steelix. Tentacruel and Mantine for the most part outclass Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligatr. Samurott, on the other hand, is basically the best water type available for almost the entire game in B/W.
