There's quite a bit of demons with no pre-existing visual basis for them that Kaneko had to come up on his own, a lot others have additions to them to complete interpretations, then there's the art style that adds certain flare to them. And then there's the Devil Summoner era where he added a lot of original concepts like ghost soldiers, horror tropes, made up legends, and so on.
