Just learned about this method of playing the game. OMG its so much more fun. You really do become more attached to your Pokemon this way, its strange. The battles are more of a challenge while at the same time there is less grinding.
I used game shark codes to get Mawile (Kajiru which google translates to Bite I hope) at level 2 after the first battle. I did cheat a little and picked "Sassy" for Nature and add Hp up items and the like.
The only time i used 2 Pokemon for battles are doubles were I bring a level 8 Abra just so it faints and I can get the exp and money.
