>>58315320It's not 100% confirmed or anything but most people say Meowscarada is based on a lynx because of the side tufts of fur which they have, similar to Meowscarada, and the pointy bits of fur above their ears, similar to Meowscarada's pointy ear-mask-thing. Lynxes have a face shape extremely similar to cats rather than the blocky shape lions or other large cats have.
It's worth noting that cats don't have that kind of long pronounced "snout" look; it's an ancient meme (sort of, but not really because there is truth to it) that the side profile of anime girls resembles the head shape of a cat.
