But as I said, it's only a little weird because they kinda did - both their Kantos aren't as different as for example the Hoenn regions. Also game Brock and Misty might only know of each other since they're both gym leaders, meaning there's no close friendship or anything (iirc) so they could've assumed the other person is just wearing different clothes & did something with their hair today and not question it further. I don't think that would go so smooth between E Steven and ORAS Wallace, for example.
