It's not like I can walk up to a random car and say, "Wanna battle bro?!", that's how people get shot. The last meet up for the Silph road group for my town was 2 years ago with 0 people showing up, and both FB groups for the area are 0 posts in 30 days. It was only then I decided to make the alt.
On the spoof alt I don't put any mons into gyms, snipe, or leave my hometown and only use it to make life for my main that much easier. Hell, the only trade I have done with it was for the research where you had to trade to continue the chain.
Could I spoof around the world and fill my dex with 4*, sure, but that would defeat the purpose of the game.
Am I calling myself a legit player, hell no. I spoofed to get where I am right now, but it was the only way to get there where I lived. I spoofed because this game punishes people for being solo, living in a small rural town, or having a real job. Am I saying I can understand why some people decide to spoof, absolutely, but within reason.
Condemn me if you want, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
