It would consist mostly of tropical, rainy areas, with some arid places scattered around. Interesting as it may be tied with Mew's lore. It would be similar to Hoenn or Alola.

West is a mountainous desert where people managed to live since thousands of years ago. More at the east you can find more and more vegetation until it turns into a jungle. Mountains are so high that they may allow for very cold, snowy places with pristine lakes. It would be similar to Johto or Kalos in some ways.
>Argentina/Chile
The entire region is divided by a mountain range, so you got clear east/west difference in climates. Northwest of the region is a big, arid desert while Northeast consists on tropical, lush greenlands. This swaps at the south, making the region Southwest a colder rainforest, while Southeast is a cold steppe, both divided by a big glacier zone. It would be similar to Sinnoh or maybe Galar.
