-powercreep wasn't too bad, at least compared to Gens 5 and 7
-some new designs were legit interesting like Trevenant and Aegislash
-as someone who has spent a lot of time in Paris, I enjoyed how a lot of the architecture and town designs fit the French style
-some of the music was good
-the behind the shoulder cave sections and rideable Pokemon sections felt immersive
-Fighting/Dark/Psychic starter trio is something I always wanted
-Super Training and Horde battles are legit fut for EV training
-Pokemonamie is a fun time waster
-PSS was great
-fairy type was a nice attempt to balance the Dragon power creep from Gen 5
>Cons-story is all over the place
-not challenging
-post game is weak
-frame rate drops especially in horde battles
-few new Pokemon
-fairies have low stats and few good moves
-some megas are clearly busted and overpowered
Personally, I feel it gets a bad rap and it's up there as one of my favorite gens with 2 and 5.
