>>46200680>it also looks like she was maybe using a new illustration software or something. a lot of these look like drawings i did when i was a lot younger when i was just learning to use early versions of photoshopI did have a similar feeling but i think a lot of the older stuff is actually just airbrush. Its kind of difficult to pinpoint where exactly it becomes digital. but yeah as much i like the hazy dream like quality those ereader cards definately need some linework of something to give it form.
sumioshi kizuki has done some of my favourite cards but i think shes kind of in an awkward phase in that transition to digital. i think also because shes working in a completely different style than what she used to. I've seen a lot of artists struggle with lighting and gradients like this early on myself included
