>Nuzlocke fic, but it is the inverse. Every pokemon the nuzlocke trainer 'faints' dies over time (not immediately), but his Pokemon remain healthy. If nuzlocke trainer's pokemon faints, he releases them on the spot and the Pokemon is basically forced to go back into the wild, or stalk the trainer if they are especially pissy. Anything it fights still dies though. Halfway through the story the protagonist focus changes to a police officer that has to follow the trail of literal dead pokemon and stop it before whatever is causing the murder spree reaches the elite four and champion. All the while the Nuzlocke pokemon trainer is unaware that he's taking the lives of Pokemon, and just wants to be champion.
>A Florges bonds with a dying human she finds in her meadow. Unable to heal them in any way, she at least decides to provide them some comfort with her best flowers to help them go in peace. Getting said flowers is a challenge even with her powers.
>Malva, defeated by the new Champion and her precious Team Flare disbanded, confronts champ on why he broke down the only thing she cared about. Did champ care so little about leaving a group be? Had they not interefere with Team Flare's plans, it probably would NOT have escalated to unleashing the machine that almost wiped out its population many years ago. Champ doesn't care, and explains that Team Flare does look stylish, but their price for recruitment is so horrendous that they decided to tear the entire thing down. They rebut by saying that if the price was a lot more reasonable, they'd get more members...and maybe they wouldn't have to find themselves in that whole mess.
