I was impressed by how flexible the system is, I made a biwa hoshi that's able to do all the fundamental spooky blind musician things like soothing spirits and divination at level 1, with points left over to dip into channeler for more spooky ghost powers and chef for some extra utility and flavor. I didn't have room for General Education or Occult Education, which would also be very fitting for a Heike performer, but I wanted to focus on the supernatural stuff at first since it seems more fun :D
I'm not sure what starter to pick though. Gastly would be an obvious choice, but I'm leaning towards phantump. A stubborn kodama who refuses to be pacified seems like an appropriate companion for a biwa hoshi. Honedge was my first choice but I feel like I've already gone past most people's weeaboo tolerance without adding sword autism lawl
